Overview

Miami Executive Airport, formerly known until 2014 as Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport, (IATA: TMB, ICAO: KTMB, FAA LID: TMB) is a public airport in unincorporated Miami-Dade County, Florida, 15 miles (24 km) southwest of Downtown Miami.Operated by the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, the airport is one of Florida's busiest general aviation facilities. It supports corporate, recreational, flight training, and government aviation operations. Miami Executive Airport airport opened on November 18, 1967, replacing the original Tamiami Airport, which was located near the Tamiami Trail.
