The facility covers 6,217 acres (2,516 ha) with a resident population of over 3,300 and working population of approximately 7,200. Little Rock AFB is the primary C-130 Hercules training base for the Department of Defense, training C-130 pilots, navigators, flight engineers, and loadmasters from all branches of the US military in tactical airlift and aerial delivery.
